Follow me on my coaching journey which includes my new series: Get REEL with Marc. Do you have a mentor? Someone that keeps you accountable? #peakperformingagent #realestatelife #realtor #realtorlife
When I first started in real estate I had a great mentor and a super solid transaction coordinator on our team that held my hand through all the beginning stages of writing contracts. Writing contracts is only one aspect of being an incredible realtor. You really need to be a specialist in what is happening in your marketplace.
Advising your clients into the very minute details of how to write an offer in your given market. At any current time, what was happening six months ago is not what’s happening now, is not what is going to be happening six months from now. Therefore, you need to be an expert in your marketplace.
What was most important to ME was having an additional mentor and a coach.
Someone who really gave me the tools, the mindset, the beliefs, the systems, and the goals to help me succeed at a high level in real estate. And once I had that mentor, that really gave me the playbook of how to succeed in real estate. I was off and running!
So what I’m here to talk to you about today is getting a great mentor in your real estate practice.
And if you don’t have one, you need to find one. And that could be us. That could be somebody in your office.
How can you be better? Being stagnant and being complacent is a death trap. It’s a death trap in life. It’s a death trap in real estate, and it can be a death trap for your relationships. Having great mentorship and coaching in your corner, to hold you accountable, to keep you moving forward, and keep you learning and growing. Becoming an even better coach, advisor and mentor for your clients is an invaluable thing that you can do to invest in yourself, and is something that we always continue to do for ourselves.
All right. Get out there. Find somebody that can help you hold you accountable. Get your feet to the fire. If you’re struggling, reach out to us. Let’s get on the phone and talk about it.
